Overview
Delayed Release lets you separate the approval step from order creation. When enabled on a request, approval will not automatically generate an order. You can then release items partially or multiple times whenever needed, and any orders created from an approved delayed release request will auto-approve.
Prerequisites
Make sure your admin has granted you at least one of Request for purchase: All or Request for quote: All. Without at least one of these, the Purchase Request option won't be available in Standard mode.
Your admin can check or update this by navigating to General Settings → Configurations → Manage Privileges.
How to access
Go to Purchase → Request and click + Create request.
Steps
1. On the request form, locate the Delayed release toggle alongside the Blanket Requisition and Urgent fields.
2. Toggle Delayed release on. The toggle turns blue when active.
3. Complete the rest of the request as usual and click Send for Approval.
4. Once approved, return to the request to release orders on demand — partially or in multiple releases over time.
