How to Enable & Use Requisition Type?

Want to manage your requisitions based on requisition types? You can set up approval workflows based on requisition type.

Prerequisites

Before proceeding, ensure you have the following:

  • You need admin privileges.

To Enable Requisition Type:

  1. Go to Configurations in your system:

    • In the Admin section, locate General Settings on the left menu and click on "Configurations".

    • Click on "Company Settings".

  2. Navigate to Requests & Quotes settings:

    • Locate and navigate to Request & Quote.

  3. Enable the option for Requisition Type:

    • Look for the checkbox labeled "Requisition Type" and check the option to enable this feature.

  4. Save your settings to apply the changes:

    • Ensure to save your changes to activate the Requisition Type functionality.

To Add a New Requisition Type:

  1. Access Master Data within Configurations

    • Go back to Configurations. Under the "Master Data" column, click on Requisition Type.

  2. Click on "Add Requisition" to create a new type

    • Initiate the creation of a new requisition type by selecting the appropriate command or button.

  3. Enter the unique code and a name for the new type

    • Provide a distinct identifier (code) and a name for the newly created requisition type.

  4. Save the newly created request type

    • Confirm your entry by clicking "Create Requisition Type"

  1. Can I edit a requisition type after creating it?

    • Yes, you can typically edit requisition types later through the same Request Type section where you created them initially.

  2. Can I set up a workflow based on requisition type?

    • Yes, you can by selecting the "Requisition Type" in the Entry Condition on the approval workflow.
