Create Budget Values in ProcureDesk

Setting up budget values in ProcureDesk allows organizations to allocate and manage financial resources effectively within predefined budget hierarchies.

Prerequisites

Before setting up budget values in ProcureDesk, ensure you have:

  • Access permissions to the Budgets module.

  • Understanding of the organizational budget hierarchy and the levels where budget values need to be assigned.

Step-by-Step Guide

CSV Method:

  1. Accessing Budgets Module

    • Navigate to the Budgets section from the left-hand menu in ProcureDesk.

  2. Download the CSV Template

    • Download the template from the "Import File" > Download Template option.

  3. Upload the Template

    • Fill in the columns on the template and upload the file from the "Import File" option, this time you need to drop the file in the outlined section.

    • Please save your filled-in template file only in the .CSV format before uploading.

Manual Method:

  1. Accessing Budgets Module

    • Navigate to the Budgets section from the left-hand menu in ProcureDesk.

  2. Creating a New Budget Value

    • Click on "Create Budget Value" to initiate the setup of a new budget line.

    • The following screen will appear:




      • Update Budget Section:

        • Fill in the "Budget Levels" field at the top with the designated level (e.g., "Class", "Department"). Optionally, select "Use this budget when no other budget is available" if applicable.

      • Budget Attributes Section:

        • Complete fields such as "Budget Type", "Owner", "Budget Interval", and "Access" based on organizational requirements.

      • Budget Section:

        • Input the specific budget values according to your needs.


      • Click "Update Budget Value" to save the new budget line.

  1. What if I need to modify existing budget values?

    • Navigate to the respective budget value within the Budgets module > Actions > Edit.
