In ProcureDesk, Admins can manage user privileges to control who can lock or unlock the accounting month. This feature ensures that only authorized users have the ability to modify month-end closures, while others can still view the locked/unlocked status and audit history.
Prerequisites
Admin access in ProcureDesk.
Month-End Lock setting is already enabled. Read here on how to enable
Step-by-Step Instructions
Switch to the Admin Side
Log into ProcureDesk and switch to the Admin side to access user privilege settings.
Navigate to Manage Privileges
Go to Configurations and select Manage Privileges.
Set Lock/Unlock Privilege for Users
In the Invoice section under Privileges, locate the "Lock Invoice" option.
To remove the ability for a user to lock/unlock accounting months, uncheck the "Lock Invoice" privilege.
To grant the ability to lock/unlock months, check the "Lock Invoice" option for specific users.
Save Changes
FAQs
Can users without the Lock/Unlock privilege still see locked months?
Yes, users without the privilege can still see which months are locked/unlocked and can view the audit history. However, they cannot change the lock status.
Can this privilege be assigned to multiple users?
Yes, the Admin need to create this privilege and apply it to the roles of individual users as needed.
