CorPay Virtual Cards – Alerts & Notifications

This article explains how CorPay Alerts & Notifications work for Virtual Cards used in ProcureDesk, how to enroll, and how to respond when a transaction is declined or flagged.

Updated this week

Overview

CorPay Alerts & Notifications help you take quick action when a Virtual Card transaction:

  • Is declined, or

  • Is flagged as potentially suspicious

Alerts are sent via SMS and allow you to confirm, deny, or override transactions in real time, reducing payment delays and fraud risk.

You will only receive alerts when action is required.

Who Should Use This

  • Users making vendor payments with CorPay Virtual Cards in ProcureDesk

  • Finance and Accounts Payable teams

  • Cardholders responsible for approving transactions

How to Enroll in Alerts

To enable Alerts & Notifications:

  1. Use the mobile number linked to your CorPay Virtual Card

  2. Send IN to 57811

  3. Wait for the enrollment confirmation message

Once enrolled, you will only receive alerts for declined or suspicious transactions.

When You’ll Receive an Alert

You may receive an alert if:

  • A transaction is flagged as suspicious, or

  • A transaction is declined and requires confirmation or override

These alerts help CorPay verify transactions and prevent unauthorized use.

What Information does the Alert include

Each SMS alert includes:

  • Company name

  • Last 4 digits of the card

  • Transaction amount

  • Date of the transaction

This information helps you quickly identify the payment before responding.

How to Respond to an Alert

Reply directly to the SMS using one of the following options:

  • CNF – Confirm the transaction is valid

  • DEN – Deny the transaction (possible fraud)

  • ORD – Override a declined transaction so it can be retried

Respond as soon as possible to avoid payment delays.

Overriding a Declined Transaction

If a valid transaction was declined:

  1. Reply ORD to the alert message

  2. Retry the transaction after confirmation

Overriding allows CorPay to approve the transaction if no fraud is detected.
