How to use the Multi-Edit feature for Requests and POs?

This guide provides instructions to edit multiple line items in a purchase order (PO) simultaneously.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

  • Permission to create and edit Requests and POs.

  • A draft Request or a PO.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Document

  • Navigate and open the Request/Purchase Order you want to edit.

Step 2: Go to Line Items

  • Access the line items section within the document.

Step 3: Click on Multi-Edit

  • Select the "Multi-Edit" option.

Step 4: Fill in the Details

  • Enter the details you want to change for the specific field across all line items in the document. For example, if you want to fill in the "Required Date" for all the line items.

Step 5: Save Changes

Once the required data is filled in, click on "Save Changes".

Step 6: Verify the changes made

After saving, verify that the updated data reflects correctly across all line items.

Following these steps will ensure that your line items are edited efficiently and accurately.

Here's an example:

We need to change the 'Category' on the line items on this document.

After clicking on "Multi Edit", we chose the required option in the Category field and clicked on Save Changes.

Once Saved, the following data will reflect on the lines.
