SSO OKTA - How to add ProcureDesk as an Application

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to Okta.

  • Access to the Okta Admin Console.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to Okta

    • Sign in to your Okta account with your admin credentials.

  2. Navigate to Admin Console

    • Go to the Admin Console from the dashboard.

  3. Create a New Application

    • Click on Create App Integration to start the process.

  4. Select SAML 2.0

    • Choose SAML 2.0 as the sign-on method.

  5. Configure Application Settings

    • Step 1: Enter Application Name

      • Enter "ProcureDesk" as the application name.

    • Step 2: Configure SAML Settings

      • Single Sign-on URL: Enter the URL provided by ProcureDesk.

      • Audience: Create as https://myprocuredesk.com

      • Name ID format: Select "Email Address."

      • Application Username: Choose "Email."

  6. Complete Configuration

    • Step 3: Finalize Settings

      • Review the settings and click on the Finish button.

  7. View SAML Setup Instructions

    • Go to the landing page of the newly created application and click on View SAML setup instructions.

  8. Copy and Send Information

    • Copy the following details:

      • Identity Provider Single Sign-On URL

      • Identity Provider Issuer

      • X.509 Certificate

    • Save this information in a text file and send it to ProcureDesk.

  • Ensure you have the necessary admin permissions, or contact your Okta administrator.

2. Can I edit the SAML settings later?

  • Yes, you can update the settings anytime from the Okta Admin Console.

  • They are available on the application landing page under View SAML setup instructions.
