In some cases, you might have to release inventory without a purchase order. It could be an ad-hoc request or someone who doesn't have access to ProcureDesk.

To release inventory against an item

1. Go to the Inventory section of the tool.

2. Select the item for which you want to release stock from Inventory and click on Release item icon to create a new release.

The release item icon is only active if the onhand quantity is greater than 0.

3. Enter the release dates and other relevant information and click on Submit to release the stock.

4. This will automatically reduce the on-hand inventory based on the released inventory.
