How to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a paid add-on. Please contact us to enable this feature and add it to your subscription.


Prerequisites

  • MFA must be enabled by your organization.

  • Access to your registered email or phone number.

  • (If applicable) Download Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator apps on your phone.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. First Login After Enabling MFA

    • Upon first login, after MFA is enabled, you will see the following message:

      "Exciting update! Multi-factor authentication is now on. Simply click 'Continue' to personalize your preferences. Your account's security is our priority! ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ"

  2. Choose an Option

    • You will have two options:

      • Skip for now: If selected, you can log in without setting up MFA. However, this option will reappear at your next login.

      • Continue: Proceed to set up MFA.

  3. Mandatory Setup (If Enforced by Admin)

    • If your administrator has made MFA mandatory, after 3 logins, you will be required to set up MFA to continue accessing your account.

  4. Set Up Your Preferred Method for Receiving the One-Time Password (OTP)

    • Email: No additional information is required. An OTP will be sent to your registered email. Enter the OTP to proceed.

    • Phone: Enter your phone number to receive an OTP via SMS. Enter the OTP to proceed.

    • Google Authenticator: Download and install the Google Authenticator app on your phone. Follow the on-screen instructions to link your account.

    • Microsoft Authenticator: Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone. Follow the on-screen instructions to link your account.

  1. What happens if I skip MFA setup?

    • If you choose to skip the MFA setup, you can still log in. However, the prompt to set up MFA will appear every time you log in until it's completed.

  2. Can I change my MFA method later?

    • Yes, you can change your preferred method for receiving the OTP by accessing your account settings.

  3. How can an admin disable MFA?

    • Follow the steps: Switch to admin > Configurations > Company Settings > General > Uncheck the option for "Enable two-factor authentication" and save.
