How to Close an Order?

An order can be closed if:

  • All the items ordered have been delivered.

  • The order has been invoiced.

Note: Once the order is closed, you cannot create a receipt against the order or create an invoice against the order.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the 'Order' module with permissions to manage and close orders.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Order

  • Navigate to the orders page.

  • Click on the order number you want to close.

Step 2: Mark the Order as Closed

  • Click on Actions.

  • Select the Mark as Closed option.

Step 3: Confirm Closing the Order

  • Click OK to close the order.

    • Yes, once an order is closed, it can be reopened. You need to click on Actions > Reopen.

  2. Can I still view the details of a closed order?

    • Yes, you can still view the details of a closed order, but you won't be able to make changes, create receipts, or create invoices against it.
